This is taken from atop a hill on an island off Puerto Rico. These colors are so healing and inspiring.

How inspiration begins....

This is blue slag rocks that me, my dear friend Gregory and my boyfriend found. Seen here on the porch.

Slag River

This is a place I go camping every summer. Near here a long time ago was a iron ore mine, and whats left over are, these beautiful blue "rocks" that you can find under water, wedged in the dirt. The rocks are called "slag" and last summer I got a few and had them cut into stones for jewelry. I find a lot of inspiration this way, and from being in nature in general.

Blue Slag

This is some of the slag I had cut from the rocks pictured above. Each one is really interesting with its own character. When I hold them up to the light, the blue turns green like a beer bottle.

I got some new druzies the other day, and this is one of them ... a sweet little yellow/green druzy. It's one of a kind and its been set on a silver bamboo setting. E-mail me if you are interested, and I'll bring it to the young designer's market this weekend.
